Service Description
Tour Overview Average speed: 17 km/h Distance: 50 km Elevation gain: 290 hm Level: fruity Tour Description: The tour starts either in Salzburg city or directly at your hotel or event location. From there, we follow a cycle path toward Maria Plain, a well-known pilgrimage site perched on a hill northwest of Salzburg. A short climb leads us to the church, where we’re rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of Salzburg and its surrounding landscape. We then descend to the Salzach river path, which we follow upstream at a relaxed pace. After about 15 km, we reach Oberndorf, home of the historic Silent Night Chapel – the place where the world-famous Christmas carol “Silent Night, Holy Night” was first performed in 1818. Crossing the Salzach via the “Europasteg” – a modern pedestrian and cycle bridge – we arrive in the Bavarian town of Laufen, known for its charming old town and beautiful Art Nouveau bridge. Here, we stop for a break at a cozy café. Refreshed, we continue along quiet country roads through Surheim and Saaldorf. Near Freilassing, we reconnect with the Salzach river path and follow it back to our starting point. The tour can be customized on request. Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy By receiving your booking confirmation, you automatically agree to the following booking terms. Cancellation Policy A cancellation free of charge is possible up to 7 days before the tour date. For cancellations 7 days before the tour, 50% of the paid amount will be refunded. From 6 days before the tour, no refunds will be issued. Cancellations must be made in writing via email. Payment Payment is made via invoice. The invoice will be issued after the booking confirmation and must be paid immediately upon receipt or at the latest before the tour begins. Additional Costs Admission fees, food & drink, and optional extras (e.g., teambuilding activities, tastings) are not included in the tour price and must be covered by the participants themselves. Weather Tours take place regardless of weather conditions. Rain is not a valid reason for cancellation. Only in cases of severe weather or danger (e.g., thunderstorms) can the tour be cancelled by Lamponi Events.
